Teaching and Learning
Each week, you’ll join a 2-hour live class online. In this class, you can work with your course leader and other students in your group. After class, you’ll have self-study extension activities to build on your learning in the live session.
Practice and Assessment
As part of your course, you will have two one-to-one meetings with a bilingual reviewer of your language pair. One of these sessions will be used for a mock practice exam of the Unit 1 consecutive interpreting tests from a past DPSI exam. Your second session can be used to discuss bilingual terminology or receive feedback on another piece of coursework you have completed.
Completion and Qualification
On completion of your course, you can decide if you’re ready to register for all units of the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting examination. Your course leader will help you with this decision. You’ll also receive a Certificate of Completion confirming the training you have undertaken.
