- Terminology building translation glossaries
Teaching and Learning
You’ll join two 2-hour live online classes. In these classes, you can work with your course tutor and interact with other students. After class, you’ll have self-study activities to build on your learning in the online class.
Practice and Assessment
You’ll be asked to complete a practice translation under timed conditions for your chosen Unit (Unit 2 Business and Commercial Translation Skills or Unit 3 Government and Public Service Translation Skills). You’ll then have a one-hour 1-to-1 online class with your bilingual reviewer to receive feedback on your translation.
This assessment gives you a chance to practise for your chosen second unit paper and receive feedback on your performance. The assessments are all taken from past Level 6 Certificate in Translation examinations.
Completion and Qualification
On completion of your Certificate in Translation Units 2 & 3 course, combined with the Certificate in Translation Unit 1 course, you’ll be ready to take the full Level 6 Certificate in Translation exam. You’ll also receive a Certificate of Completion confirming the training you have undertaken.
